WBPR — We The Blues People Radio Network is the broadcast arm of the Jack Dappa Blues Heritage Preservation Foundation, a nonprofit preserving Black traditional music, oral history, and cultural memory through live radio, interviews, and public scholarship.
Blending Blues programming with folklorist-style storytelling, WBPR carries a field-recording spirit—community voices, interviews, and “Scholar Notes” that connect songs to Black history, place, labor, and lived experience. The goal is simple: build an accessible educational archive while keeping the tradition alive on the air.
