THE SON OF SOUL AND BLUES BROCK LIGHTNING: The Son of Soul And Blues: Brock Lightning, a Gospel Blues singer, has walked a long way, from his days as the Lead Singer of R&B SOUL group Perfect Pitch, a crew of his truly best friends Brock Lightnin, Sheldon, James, Alex & O’neil were the original members. The personnel changed over the years, the last line up was Brock, Sheldon, Shawn and brothers Peter and Paul. The group rocked local talent shows with there dancing and harmonies they began singing in their buildings hallways @ 163 ocean Ave. East Flatbush Brooklyn following in The giant footsteps of their Idols New Edition. The group split up in 1997, before a pending reunion could be finalized. The untimely death of Sheldon Christopher an original member and Brock’s closest friend made Brock begin to question if he should go on in music without his friend but after a short layoff, Brock Lightnin decided to return to the music scene and try to live out the dream he and Sheldon imagined so many years ago. Once out on his own Brock performed and won numerous awards in local talent shows as a solo vocalist. the Son of a drummer David Carson Brock began to really focus on his Guitar playing, playing. In 1996 Brock heard Buddy Guy’s “when My Left I get to jumping” setting him on a course that he realized was his true calling to play the BLUES.
